| A security system is
something we all wish we didn’t have to buy. But with a burglary
recorded every 12 seconds* it’s a necessity. Even so, a security
system needn’t be such an unappealing purchase. The IQ systems can
also operate the lights, thermostats and audio/video equipment.
Adding inputs and outputs to the
system beefs up its security capabilities even more. Connected to
outputs are devices like an announcer that broadcasts “please
leave the premises” when somebody steps onto the property. Sensors
are connected to the systems inputs to warn of fire, flood,
humidity, or open and close curtains, turn on/ and off lighting to
simulate occupancy while you are away from home.

Getting the
optimum growing conditions for plants can be tricky. Issues such as
